Announcing the latest CORDIS photo competition celebrating 100 issues of Research*eu!

As part of the continuing celebrations of reaching (and now passing) 100 issues of Research*eu magazine, CORDIS is proud to announce its latest and greatest social media photo competition – and of course, a competition means prizes!

Society icon Society

Research*eu has thousands of subscribers across Europe and the world and we want you, our loyal readers, to once again bombard us with your fabulous photos! There are several ways in which to take part – if you’re a member of an EU-funded project and you’ve been featured in a previous issue, we’d love to see you, and maybe some of your colleagues (depending of course on social distancing/home working requirements where you are), posing with the issue that you were featured in. If solo, then we encourage you to get creative! Are you reading your Research*eu in your garden, your local park, on a boat bobbing on the lake/sea, in an empty office or lab, with your coffee and croissants on a sunny Spring morning? We’re also super keen to see which of our readers have in their possession the oldest copies of Research*eu. The magazine has been running since 2011, so does anyone out there still have an original numero uno copy? Even if you don’t have our inaugural edition, never fear, just send us a photo of you with the oldest issue you have. It may just be the oldest overall that’s submitted!

But why take part, you may ask?

Well, first because it’s fun and whimsical but also because we have 10 gadgety prizes up for grabs, five going to entrants with the oldest copies of Research*eu and five to those who impress us (and our social media followers) the most.

So now we’ve piqued your interest, how to enter?

Just post the photo with your copy of the magazine to your social media profile on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter, and use the hashtag #researchEU100. That way we can also share them via our Instagram Stories, our Facebook and Twitter. If you’re one of our lucky winners, we’ll get in touch with you to arrange how to send you the prize and to ask veeery nicely (and in accordance with EU copyright laws) if we can use your photo in a later edition of Research*eu and on the CORDIS website. So, what are you waiting for?? Get snapping and we can’t wait to see the results! Oh, one last thing, the end date of course: The competition ends at 12pm CET on 31 May!
