Installation of monitoring systems for the unsaturated zone and groundwater at selected sites (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

A prototype vadose zone monitoring systems (VMS) for the study of PFAS transport will be installed and validated at real demo sites. An accompanying report featuring characteristic and performance will be prepared by Partner 4 (BGU) in collaboration with partner 5 (FOR), Partner 15 (ENV) and partner 17 (GEO). Input and output Tasks are T3.1 and T3.2.

Coordinated Policy Briefs on PFAS regulation (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

A brief Report will provide a practical structure to include the relevant information regarding the state-of-the-art policies on PFAS remediation. The deliverable will systematize the current large-scale regulations and highlight the agreement among operative procedures and requirements at local level, with special attention to gaps arising from lack of data, risk thresholds, and prescriptions. These results will be organised in order to identify the main gaps that can be covered by SCENARIOS solutions with regard to data acquisition and accessibility, LCA assessment, and new remediation solutions. Output Task 9.5. Input Task 9.5, T8.1-8.8. This Deliverable has the potential to contribute to new policy within the EU.Strong contribution to policy expected.

Report on LCA & LCC Results for SCENARIOS strategies (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

The deliverable is a Report -due at M12 (Draft version) and M36 (Final version)- conforming Output Task 8.1, Environmental Impact and Life Cycle Assessmentand Task 8.2, Economic Evaluation and Life Cycle Costing. Input Tasks are 8.1, 8.2, with possible inputs also from T6.1-6.4 and T7.3-7.4.Strong contribution to policy expected for approaches to address PFAS fate and costs in the environment. Each report will be structured as an LCA report presenting the results as indicated by ISO 14040. The systems to be evaluated with LCA will be defined according to the DEMOs realized in WP 7. For each system, the deliverable will describe all the elements necessary for the transparency of the LCA (scope functional unit, system boundaries, assumptions, data used for the analysis, software and databases applied, impact categories and impact assessment method, normalization and weighting strategies) and the associated results. Moreover, for the assessment of the Lifecycle Costing, Cost models, pricing systems and databases applied will be described.

Deliverable D99 will consist of a short document R Report that summarizes all the main findings available from the current literature and preliminary results on human and environmental hazardrisk assessments in respect to the current chemical legislation Eg REACHCLP Deliverable D47 will rely on the results and inputs from Tasks 41 to 48 it will conform Task 47 as well as T95 on regulation as output TasksStrong contribution to policy expected
