A reduction in the rate of cost is intended, and the future behaviour of the system based on the actual test is suggested to predict lifetimes and reduce future fatigueOne major goal will be forecasting maintenance based on multiple degradation models, failure scenarios, and system lifespans from the project demonstrators.
Visualisation-based explainable models for ZEV fleets (öffnet in neuem Fenster)The simulation environment will use the data (generated by vehicles, stations and road infrastructure of the selected pilot routes, like from T5.4) and utilize the outputs of AI-powered tools (T5.3). Then, black-box and white-box AI models will be applied as an entailment to the AI-powered tools to extract and visualize the most salient factors presenting the most significant information with high accuracy and effective explainability.

The task formalises the requirements so that they can be mapped to specific activities and relevant system components for final requirements specification. identification of full green value chain of zHDVs for 3 different vehicle types (battery, fuel-cell and range extender).
Standardisation of Modular & Scalable Powertrain Components (öffnet in neuem Fenster)Development of a conceptual architecture for the e-axle and its main components which is modular, compact scalable and optimized across the target VECTO groups. It will cover relevant aspects of electrical design, mechanical design, thermal design, controls, EMI & EMC, reliability & safety and manufacturability and maintainability. A detailed simulation and concept package model will be presented, and the result will be benchmarked by integrating the various e-axle combinations within the novel vehicle architecture.

Refuelling Solutions and Protocols (öffnet in neuem Fenster)Outcome will focus on solutions seeking for the various aspects of H2 refuelling topics, including the utilisation of the new high speed refuelling protocols. Safety and performance evaluation and development together with the end-users and other relevant stakeholders.
Data Governance, Monitoring & TGM Evaluation Framework (öffnet in neuem Fenster)ESCALATE will rely on the Trial Guidance Methodology (TGM).Preparatory work for the pilots by focusing mainly on the Six-Step Approach that is composed of: i) Pilots and scenario objectives revisiting, ii) Revisiting and refreshing the research questions and hypotheses, iii) Revisiting and applying the data collection/preparation plan, iv) formulating the evaluation by considering the human-centric factors and the identified list of baseline assessment criteria (T2.1); v) scenarios (re)formulation, and vi) ESCALATE Solution selection. Validation scenarios will be defined so that they cover a large range of representative risks and threat scenarios of concern for ESCALATE.

The objective of this task is to develop the electrical and thermal management and control systems of the vehicle side to achieve a defined range including the air conditioning system, which is one of the largest auxiliaries, the optimization of energy-consuming vehicle systems. Improving system efficiency by modifying thermal hardware and software concepts is targeted in this task.
Standardised & modular BP&FC, prototyping and manufacturing (öffnet in neuem Fenster)Fleet management tool will be implemented. Requirements of fleet operators (T5.1) and limitations of vehicle types are implemented. For this purpose, recurring driving profiles and usage patterns will be derived from existing driving data of existing conventional vehicle fleet
