AgreenSkills+

Obiettivo

Further to the high interest and response to the AgreenSkills programme launched in 2012, INRA and Agreenium have decided to set up a ‘phased-in’ 5 years follow-up programme ‘AgreenSkills+’. The overall goal of the AgreenSkills international mobility programme is to increase the research potential (and thus career prospective) of researchers in the field of Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition so as to better respond to the challenges of food security and global change.
AgreenSkills+ offers a wider scope of eligibility and a greater number of fellowships for basic and applied research projects as a means of both responding to the demand and to fulfilling the long-term ambitions of the partner organisations:
- 200 fellow years of which 28% outgoing and 72% incoming over the 5 years. The capacity of outgoing mobility will be significantly increased from 14 to 28 fellows.
-Fellowships for more experienced researchers (up to 10 years post PhD) than the current programme.
-Extending fellowships to up to 3 years for incoming fellows.
-Wider opportunities thanks to the larger number of Agreenium partners acting as hosting institutions (9 as oppose to 6 currently)
-Partnerships with non-national institutions to stimulate mobility and set-up long-term twinning/exchange programmes with these institutions.
-Individualised career development support and training (via the AgreenSkills Pass).
The AgreenSkills+ programme will be ‘phased in’ for the 1st year so that there is no eligibility or funding overlap with the current programme. The further calls of the AgreenSkills+ programme will cover the full range of eligibility criteria. There will be a seamless continuity to the AgreenSkills+ programme from an evaluation, management and hosting capacity perspective. AgreenSkills+ as its predecessor is based on flexibility and openness with a broad range of topics, open calls and individual support in finding the most appropriate receiving lab so as to attract the best candidates.
