DISRUPTIVE EYE TRACKING FOR MOBILE EXPERIENCE OPTIMISATION

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - EyeTrack (DISRUPTIVE EYE TRACKING FOR MOBILE EXPERIENCE OPTIMISATION)

Berichtszeitraum: 2015-09-01 bis 2016-02-29

The EyeTrack project will develop the first eye-tracking system truly adapted to mobile usages and seamlessly combined with a user-testing environment accessible to every digital team.

The objectives of the project in phase 1 was to obtain a clear roadmap of the industrialization of the product, to meet with potential customers in targeted client segments, and to validate a key technical feature of the eye-tracking system.
During Phase 1, we achieved an industrial feasibility study based on our current industrial design, a technical feasibility study of eye-tracking in specific conditions, a market assessment study and customer validation, and a detailed business plan.

The main results are a clear roadmap on industrialization with cost optimization of the system, a path to high robustness of our eye-tracking algorithm, and many insights in terms of customers’ expectations and needs.
The EyeTrack project will lead to a very innovative eye-tracking system capable of delivering user experience data on mobile devices. It will have a large impact on a fast growing digital market where measuring visual attention in mobile usage is highly challenging.
