SNP-chip tool validation- SNP mining will be performed from NGS data that will provide high coverage of each individual genome, - Validation of the SNP-chip tool in a wide range of source populations to evaluate genotyping efficiency, - The development of a SNP-chip in those two species will lead to higher selection accuracies.

A new vaccine against betanodavirus will be produced. This vaccine will cover the highest number of genotypes and genotype combinations affecting seabass but also seabream and also improving the efficacy and the protection. Also an improved vaccine against Pasteurellosis, with higher efficacy and extended protection will be produced.
Diagnostics methods for Mediterranean farmed fishA practical diagnostic procedure guide of recommended diagnostic techniques for the most relevant diseases affecting Mediterranean Sea bream and seabass will be produced. This guide will include also a description of the state of the art on diagnostic techniques and also will present new developments achieved in task 3.4.2. This guide will follow the basic structure of the OIE manual for aquatic animal diseases but will be presented in an electronic and more dynamic way.
