PHREEQC is a computer program designed to carry out a wide variety of aqueous chemical reactions. The simulation results will be used to fine-tune the process flow diagrams.

Results from the bench-scale experiments focused on the evaluation of different technologies: EDBP for NaOH and H2SO4 recovery; NF for waste stream concentration followed by EFC or Evaporation.

Report on the bench-scale tests using equipment from the BECThis deliverable includes the results from Task 2.1.1 and 2.1.2. Presentation of the results of the bench scale tests based on equipment of the Brine Excellence Centre, i.e. units for membrane filtration, membrane crystallization, evaporation, ion-exchange, freeze crystallization. The results will be used to determine relevant process parameters and to optimize conditions related to the presence of silica in the RO concentrate, with the ultimate purpose to fine-tune the process flow diagrams and finalize the selection of components for the demo plant.

Report on the operation and optimization of the pilot system for the treatment of coal mine waterThe final report from the operation of the pilot plant will include: □ the records of the plant performance (current density used in electrodialysis, pressure drop and permeate flux of pressure-driven units, composition of process streams during plant operation, unexpected downtimes and malfunctions); □ the records of the performance of the UNIPA-developed crystallizer; □ calculated energy consumption and chemicals consumption, to be used in WP7, subtask 7.1.4

Official WebsiteThe ZERO BRINE website will use a multi-page parallax format to optimize the user experience with quality visuals and navigation tools. Google Analytics will be embedded to track traffic from around Europe and beyond. Revolve will compile the data and present the results during the impact reporting at the end of every year. Revolve expects to reach all European countries and to attract interest from the USA, China, India and the Middle East. The website will also include photo galleries from and videos, adding to the visual experience of the ZERO BRINE project.
