This deliverable will synthesise and compare the findings of socioeconomic analyses in the four focus regions The deliverbale will be prepared in the form of an article manuscript for a scientific journal

Guidance document for regional actors on strategic actions for shaping coping strategies [2-3 page document; one for each of the different types of carbon-intensive regions]

A short 23 page guidance document one for each of the different types of carbonintensive regions identified in WP3 of generalizable insights targeted at regional policymakers focusing on strategic actions for shaping desirable coping strategies will be prepared

Quality Control and Risk Management Plan

The deliverbale will summarize insights generated from the premortem exercise to be conducted at the first project meeting and contain a detailed process for quality control to be implemented by the CINTRAN consortium for all deliverables

Capacity building programme concept, including needs assessment and methodology

This report will include the programme concept for the transition academy It will contain a detailed needs assessment mapping knowledge finance and skill gaps at the regional level

Journal Article Manuscripts - Comparative analysis of socio-demographic dynamics in carbon intensive regions in transition

This deliverable will synthesise and compare the findings of sociodemographic analyses in the four focus regions including gender in carbonintensive regions decarbonization and inequalities migration and skills in carbonintensive regions The deliverbale will contain three article manuscripts ready for submission to a scientific journal

Research framework for researching transitions of carbon-intensive regions: Insights from different disciplines, scales and epistemological approaches

This Framework will contain four chaptgers Chapter 1 will lay the foundation for translating insights for different disciplines on the feasibility and potential for energy transitions of carbonintensive regions Chapter 2 will provide a conceptual approach to integrate the analytical lenses in the regional level Chapter 3 will provide a toolset to analyse the success of coping strategies in terms of holistic justice implications Finally Chapter 4 will present synthetic crosstask theoretical insights

Report on current socio-economic, energy system, socio-political and socio-demographic challenges including a set of slide decks displaying results for each of the 10-20 most vulnerable regions

The deliverable will synthesise the quantitative analysis of the current energy and electricity system structure in carbonintensive regions It will contain consistent socioeconomic and energy system datasets for NUTS2 regions at the appropriate level of sectoral granularity for recent years up to 20182019 including suitable approximations only in cases required

Interactive maps for vulnerable regions

Key quantitative results developed in tasks 3134 will be translated and visualized into a set of interactive maps providing easy access to key indicators from the scenario analysis eg installed capacities of thermal power plants primary energy demand of carbonintensive industries for the selected regions

Online inventory of coping strategies within the platform coaltransitions.org

The deliverbale will contain a database of succinctly described and categorized coping strategies to be identified in task 41 The database will be made available on the platform coaltransitionsorg

Data Management Plan

the data management plan will also include a detailed data protection policy for the project a data minimisation strategy explaining the intended processing of data its relevance and how the use of data is limited to the project detail anonymisationpseudonymisation strategies a description of the technical and organisational measures that will be implemented to safeguard the rights and freedoms of the data subjectsresearch participants description of the security measures that will be implemented to prevent unauthorised access to personal data or the equipment used for processing
