Objectif
OBJECTIVES
In the face of increasing customer demands vis-à-vis accommodation and service, youth hostels now wish to develop the skills of their staff. The aim of the project is to implement a training programme adapted for employees in this sector and to provide them with qualifications which are recognised Europe-wide. The youth hostel associations have already developed the basic methodology for a European training programme in a previous project carried out in the framework of the FORCE programme. They now wish to implement this programme by training a European team of trainers, and to obtain recognition of the qualifications acquired by developing a tailored certification system.
ACTIVITIES
Trainers from the youth hostels will be trained in training techniques and in seven training modules relating to customer services developed under the previous project. Suitable training tools and methods will be created and made available to them. These trainers will then implement the training programme at their association and, if possible, in those which do not have the resources to appoint their own trainer. Quality control and evaluation systems will be developed and implemented so that the training can be certified by an external body.
