Report on real scale CSA-F clinker and cement production

This public report will detail the industrial pilot tests of task 6.5

In depth hydration study and model of calcined BR composite cement

This public report covers the Task 3.4 activities and details the impact of calcined BR on cement hydration kinetics, products and microstructure. The results will be integrated in a thermodynamics-based hydration model for calcined BR composite cement.

Evaluation of modified BR as SCM

This public report will summarize the findings of task 6.1 on the potential pre-requisites for using BR in cement products at amounts above 30%.

Report on Bauxite Residue de-alkalinisation in the alumina plant

This publicly available report will include the results of the LCA, and LCA-NORM studies carried out in Task 1.2. These results will indicate the life cycle environmental performance of BR and other by-product utilization in cement binders normalized to Europe and global environmental impacts (at least two publications are expected from this work). An intermediate report will be produced at M24.(Dissemination: Public)

This public report will include the results of the testing of BR at bench scale (at least one publication or conference presentation is expected from this work).

Report on BR calcination process optimization

This report describes the Task 3.2 activities on the tailoring of calcination process technology to consortium BRs

Pilot plant results

This public report will include the results of the pilot scale demonstration for production of vitrified BR at KUL (Subtask 4.1.4.1). This report will also include a techno-economic analysis of the demonstrated process.

Phase diagrams for bauxite residue-based cement binders.

This publicly available report will include the thermodynamic modelling results generated in Task 1.3. It will highlight target chemical compositions and thus SCM mixtures for (‘circular’) cement binder innovation (at least two publications are expected from this work).
