Ring-functionalized cyclopentadienyl complexes of early transition metals: preparation and application in organic synthesis and homogeneous catalysis

The research was devoted to the preparation and investigation in homogeneous catalysis of varius ring substituted cyclopentadienyl complexes mainly of early transition metals. Mono and polymetallic complexes have been prepared, characterised and studied. 1) Synthesis of the ligands -dimerization of fulvences -benzo-indene -dicyclopentadienylxylenes -(cyclopentadienyl-indenyl)-diakylmethane and dialkylsilicon 2) Complexations Synthesis of "open" and "ansa" complexes containing Fe,Ti or Zr (characterisation of racemic and meso-type structures). 3) Bimetallic complexes comprising early-late metals a) Zirconium - Rhodium arrangement. b) Metalloligands Numerous phosphorus-containing ferrocenes have been prepared and used as metalloligands for complexation of transition metal (Rh, Pd) or gold. Hydroformylation and carbonylation have been achieved with some representatives. 4) Characterisation Full structural characterisation has been achieved from NMR analysis and more than ten molecular structures have been determined by X-ray diffraction.
