MyFashion.eu - Added Value for the Consumer Through Integrated, Extended Fashion Products

Obiettivo

MyFashion.eu engages in the establishment of an innovative business model, a supply network concept and information and communication systems for customer-configured apparel products made and delivered through a dynamically configured single-piece-flow supply network of manufacturers and service providers. The aim is to provide the consumer with extended and integrated fashion products through the use of a workflow management information backbone and a point-of-sale system that completely integrate the order and logistics processes. The traditional cascading apparel supply chain with its long lead times and its inflexible batch production will be bypassed, thus giving regional, high quality EU textile and apparel manufacturers additional business opportunities.

OBJECTIVES
MyFashion.eu engages in the establishment of an innovative business model, a supply network concept and information and communication systems for customer configured apparel products made and delivered through a dynamically configured single-piece-flow supply network of manufacturers and service providers.

In detail, MyFashion.eu embraces the following objectives:
- Development of the MyFashion.eu business model including the specification of its system infrastructure;
- Development of an organisational framework for the configuration of dynamic supply networks;
- Development of a concept for order and logistics management in a one-piece flow environment;
- Development of a system for the co-ordination of dynamic supply networks based on a workflow management information backbone;
- Development of a point-of-sale software with integrated modules for order and logistics management as well as customer relationship management.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
MyFashion.eu consists of three master workpackages. Major objective in the first master workpackage, Business Model, is the detailed definition of the overall MyFashion.eu business model. Through assessment of market and customer requirements, a business plan will be drawn up and further detailed into concepts for an efficient customer relationship management as well as reference processes for handling the order process at the point-of-sale. The second master workpackage, Supply Network Design and Operation, relies on two closely associated workpackages focused at providing maximum supply network performance. This master workpackage has the objective of delivering concepts and methods for generating dynamic network configurations for the single-piece-flow order logistics of MyFashion.eu. Master workpackage three, information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure, consists of two workpackages centered around cutting-edge ICT to enable MyFashion.eu operations. Task of this master workpackage is to provide the architecture concepts, the functional and technological requirements and the system prototypes of the MyFashion.eu ICT infrastructure. In addition to the master workpackages, there are three continuous workpackages aimed at ensuring and maintaining a high quality standard in the designated research and project results. The workpackage Project Management serves the purpose of evaluating and co-ordinating the project progress on the top and local site level. Workpackage Assessment and Evaluation aims at evaluating the project results as early as possible with the objective of improvement before completion of the respective workpackage or task. The Exploitation and Dissemination workpackage follows the approach of FashionConsult.eu to generate exploitable and saleable results. Dissemination activities will be understood as a vehicle to enforce and sustain exploitation.
