In this project a new wind-energy convertor will be developed and a prototype will be installed.
The aim of this development is to give evidence of the efficiency of a new 1000KW wind energy convertor.
The rotational energy of the rotorblade will be lead directly to the rotating unit of the generator. This can be done without a rotating shaft, a gear, a coupling and so on.
With this construction there are 3 advantages :
(1) The machine produced in series will be low in costs
(2) The noise emission of the machine will only be determined by the blades, so the convertor will be extremely quiet and the installation will be possible in populated areas.
(3) The life span increases and the need for maintenance is reduced.
