Advance notice of tenders for technical assistance and studies
The European Commission, DG III, plans to publish invitations to tender concerning several projects during 1998, and has published a prior information notice concerning these invitations to tender. This information is only indicative and is therefore subject to change. The projects fall into two categories (with the expected date of publication): - Technical Assistance: . HPCN - Technology transfer in the Mediterranean countries (April 1998); . Humanitarian de-mining activities (April 1998); . Public key infrastructure for a closed user group - Specification of the certification infrastructure and implementation of a pilot (June 1998); . EudraLex - Hosting, upgrading and operation of a DG III Website, including the editing of reports and the production of promotional material (June 1998); . European Product Index - Compilation of medical products and pharmaceutical information, including the generation of harmonized codes for product information (June 1998); . Creation of independent support for Commission services in order to develop and validate new test procedures for Directives 70/220 and 88/77 as well as to qualify the performances of emissions of the vehicles and of the engines (June 1998); . Business networks to contribute to the intelligent economy (July 1998). - Studies: . Benchmarking innovation in modern biotechnology: pharmaceutical and agro-food applications (April 1998); . Knowledge-based system to reduce design conservatism (May 1998); . EPFM methodologies in view of the use of high-strength steels for pressure equipment manufacture (May 1998); . Pressure components fatigue design in the framework of the new Directive 97/23/EC on pressure equipment (May 1998); . Comprehensive state-of-the-art report on the automation and integration of processes in shipbuilding (June 1998); . Evaluation of technology costs for the motor industry (June 1998); .
