CEO seeks inventory of non-space data
The Centre for Earth Observation (CEO) programme of the European Commission aims to stimulate the use of earth observation data and to increase the accessibility of space and non-space data. As part of its "user-support component", the CEO programme is now looking for an organisation to develop a single inventory of non-space data. The contractor will be required to take four existing inventories and transfer them to the latest CEO metadata standard. These inventories are: - Topographic maps; - Thematic maps; - Airborne pictures in northern Europe and the British Isles; - Airborne pictures in Central and Eastern Europe. Two new inventories are to be compiled by the contractor (or by a sub-contractor): - Airborne pictures in south-western Europe and Benelux; - Digital elevation models and bathymetry. The contractor will then be required to develop one homogenous database integrating all six inventories, following the latest CEO metadata standards.
