The European Environment Agency (EEA) has published an invitation to tender to support the development of its work programme on reporting on the state of the environment and environmental trends. Assistance is being sought to support the development of these activities, and the preparation of the EEA's future reporting and assessment on the environment, in the fields of: transport, agriculture, industry, energy, and environmental policy measures, instruments and tools. The tasks to be carried out will include: - Compiling and reviewing relevant literature, data and model results, and the application of these to integrated assessments of the environmental impacts of the four sectors listed above; - Contributing to the development of sectoral indicators and reporting mechanisms and associated resource and data requirements; - Contributing to specific quantitative studies on the impacts and effectiveness of environmental policy instruments and measures; - Identification and analysis of sector-related environmental hot-spots; - Developing criteria and methods for monitoring and assessing progress with the integration of environmental considerations into economic sectors; - Organising and participating in expert meetings; - Contributing to the assessment, writing and review of relevant chapters in EEA reports.
