Call for International Buyers' Exhibition (IBEX) proposals
International Buyers' Exhibitions (IBEX) are supported by the European Commission in the context of regional policy and the SME Community Initiative, in areas eligible for the Structural Funds, and particularly those eligible under Objective 1. The Commission has published a call for proposals from organisations seeking EU funding for the organisation of an IBEX. An IBEX involves a number of prearranged meetings on an international scale between major firms and SMEs, designed to match the precise requirements of the major firms with the specific abilities of SMEs to meet those needs. An organisation, including bodies such as regional and local authorities, and regional professional bodies, which can demonstrate that it has established an effective partnership with other organisations representing small firms in disadvantaged areas at EU level may apply for support. In order to apply, the organisation must complete an application, including a detailed calendar for the organisation of the IBEX, a budget and details of partners, including the duties and responsibilities agreed with each. The application must also include a letter of support from the authorities of the Member State where the IBEX is to be held. For further information, please contact: European Commission DG XVI - Regional policy and cohesion 200 rue de la Loi B-1049 Brussels Fax +32-2-2963273 http://europa.eu.int/comm/regional_policy/index_en.htm(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)
