CORDIS launches new web service for Fifth Framework Programme
CORDIS has launched a new Fifth Framework Programme web service to provide information about the European Union's research and development agenda for the next four years. The site (at URL: http://cordis.europa.eu/fp5/home.html) follows on from the CORDIS Fifth Framework Focus service, which presented information on the Fifth Framework Programme preparation and adoption process. The new service will work as a first stop for people who want to participate, or benefit from the Fifth Framework Programme. The site currently provides an introduction to the new Programme and gives details of the latest news as plans for the new Framework continue to unfold. Currently providing high level introductions to the new Framework Programme and round-ups of all the latest news and developments, the web service will be developed considerably over the coming months - both in terms of content and graphical presentation. Key elements of the web service will include information on: - Participation assistance: access to information services and tools to help companies and organisations to prepare and submit proposals for research projects; - Programmes: comprehensive web services for each of the specific programmes, including presentations of their content, participation opportunities, tailored tools to help potential participants, details of the projects supported and their results; - SMEs: access to information about specific services to help small and medium-sized companies participate in the Fifth Framework Programme; - Innovation: access to a whole range of activities, services and tools to promote innovation, including specific services to assist the exploitation of the results emerging from research projects.
