Report on fatigue performance of tungsten inert gas and plasma welds
The European Commission, Directorate General XII, has recently published a report entitled, "Fatigue performance of tungsten inert gas (TIG) and plasma welds in thin sections". It is one in a series of ten reports on properties and in-service performance in the field of technical steel research. "Fatigue performance of tungsten inert gas (TIG) and plasma welds in thin sections," reports on the experiments and conclusions drawn from extensive testing of butt and fillet welds in 13, 6 and 3mm thick steel plate and tubes, welded by MMA, TIG and plasma.
