RTD information on Commission's Internet shop
The European Commission's funding opportunities within the field of research and technological development are endless, but not always easy to find out about. So to give the businesses around Europe a practical and accessible tool to have free access to information within this field the Commission has launched a "One Stop Internet Shop for Business". This website (URL: http://europea.eu.int/business(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)) can be used to answer many practical questions as it offers a gateway to data, and also information and advice from many existing sources. It gives free, direct access to public procurement tender notices published on the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) data base and to Contact Points for Citizens and Business in Member States' administrations for resolving Single Market problems. However, the website does not only offer information within the field of RTD. "The One Stop Internet Shop aims to give business better and easier access to information and advice on Single market rules and opportunities", explained Single Market Commissioner Mario Monti. "We also expect the Internet Shop to provide us with valuable feedback from business on the problems companies encounter in the Single Market, which will help us to improve the Single Market framework further". The "One Stop Internet Shop", which is available in the eleven languages of the European Union, is part of the Commission's "Dialogue with Citizens and Business" set up under the Single Market Action Plan.
