Marine societies form European federation
The elected presidents of the scientists' societies and companies of European marine science and technologies last month created the European Federation of Marine Science and Technology Societies (EFMS) in the presence Jean Boissonnas, representative of European Commission's DGXII and Laurent d'Ozouville of the Marine Board of the European Marine and Polar Sciences (EMaPs), European Science Foundation. The objectives of the Federation are to: - Contribute to the advancement of research and education in marine science and technology; - Disseminate information to promote the advancement of marine science and technology in Europe
