RTD-Results disseminated on CORDIS
The CORDIS RTD-Results database now offers rapid access to more than 6600 research results. Entries include ongoing as well as completed research, new developments, anticipated exploitation, and innovative aspects of the projects. This information stems from 56 Community RTD programmes, plus a significant number of national and international projects (EFTA countries are also represented), as well as independently supported research and development throughout Europe. Current results in many disciplines are available. Fields of study range from biology, medicine, the environment through to energy (nuclear and non-nuclear), telecommunications, advanced materials and manufacturing technologies. RTD-Results aims for comprehensive coverage of RTD achievements, with regularly updated entries on the most recent advances. Project coordinators are encouraged to input new developments as they arise. In this way, the database functions as a reference point for information exchange and a guide to exploitation. Close to 65% of the entries relate specifically to Community-supported programmes. Representation of work carried out under the First and Second Framework Programmes is already extensive, and expected soon to be complete. Further results are included as they become available in the context of the Third Framework Programme.
