Information leaflet addresses strategic issues
The European Commission, Directorate-General XII, has issued an information leaflet "Strategic Analysis of Specific Science & Technology Policy Issues", which explains how to participate in the European Union specific programme "Improving human research potential and the socio-economic knowledge base" in the Fifth Framework Programme for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration. It explains that: - The first call for proposals will be published on 16 March 1999 with the deadline for receipt of proposals on 1 June 1999 and the start of the first contracts on 1 December 1999; - The second call for proposals will be published on 15 June 2000 with the deadline for receipt of proposals on 15 October 2000 and the start of the first contracts on 1 March 2001.
