A new thinkspace on Open public sector data is born

Project ENGAGE launches a new thinkspace on Open public sector data and calls for survey participation

The ENGAGE project has recently launched a new website section called “ENGAGE Insights”. It is devoted to promoting the dialogue about the improvement of the provision, usage and final utilization of open data by scientists of all scientific domains, citizens and businesses. Two thought-stimulating contributions have been contributed already from Spyros Blavoukos and Melanie Dulong de Rosnay. All contributions on the use and re-use of PSI that depict sound positions and views are welcome in the form of short papers at contact@engage-project.eu. More information can be found at http://www.engage-project.eu/engage/wp/?page_id=2(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie). Readers may alternatively choose to contribute by taking the project survey that was recently launched. Whether you are a (potential) user of open public sector data, a researcher, a policy maker, a journalist or an active citizen take the survey, and receive the survey results and conclusions for free (please provide your email address at the end of the survey). Find more at http://www.engage-project.eu/engage/wp/?p=644(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie) or contact Anneke Zuiderwijk, Delft University of Technology (a.m.g.zuiderwijk-vaneijk@tudelft.nl). Thank you very much in advance for participating in this survey. We appreciate your time and input! What is the ENGAGE project about? The ENGAGE project aims to create an e-infrastructure to open up public sector data to researchers and citizens. By using the e-infrastructure, they will be able to submit, acquire, search and visualize diverse and distributed public sector datasets from all the countries of the European Union. The ENGAGE project is funded under the European Commission FP7 Programme (http://engage-project.eu(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)).
