JRC launches Space website
To coordinate space activities, the European Commission Joint Research Centre has launched a website at: URL: http://europa.eu.int/comm/jrc/space/index_en.html(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie) JRC Director General Herbert J. Allgeier, who is Chairman of the Coordination of Space Activities said: "Commission Services have been increasingly playing an overarching role in policy and regulations to give orientation to the space sector. Many Directorates-General are involved in space applications (research, industry, environment, telecommunications, agriculture, and so on). And as Chairman of the Coordination of Space Activities, I am very pleased with the daily work, which we achieve together. I am also very pleased that, through this web site, we can give increased visibility to the activities and to provide through which everyone interested can find their way to the relevant pole of the Commission. "This site is designed as an information crossroads and a flexible tool for all users of 'space', said Director General Allgeier. "Your help and your remarks for enriching this site will be very much appreciated."
