Romania can participate in energy-efficiency programme
The Association Council of the European Commission has published its Decision (No. 1/1999) which allows Romania to participate in the European Community Programme SAVE II. SAVE II is a multi-annual Community Programme for energy efficiency. Romania's participation in this programme is subject to financial contributions from Romania to SAVE II, as set out on Annex II of the Decision, and certain terms and conditions as set out in Annex I of the Decision. Romania is able to participate in Community Framework Programmes, specific programmes, projects or other actions, including those in the field of energy, according to Article 1 of the Additional Protocol to the European Agreement. This Agreement establishes an association between the European Communities and their Member States, and Romania. The Decision entered into force on 1 March 1999
