The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) has recently published a series of four monographs providing brief but detailed surveys of the systems for training teachers and trainers in the fifteen Member States, Iceland and Norway.

The monographs are structured as follows:

- Introduction;
- Initial vocational education and training;
- Teachers and trainers;
- Regulations for teachers and trainers;
- Training paths leading to qualification as a teacher/trainer;
- Initial training programmes for teachers and trainers;
- Continuing training of teachers and trainers;
- Useful addresses;
- Institutes and courses;
- Sources and references.

The volumes cover the following countries, and are available in English and/or French as follows:

- Volume 1: Germany, Spain, France, the United Kingdom (English and French);
- Volume 2: Portugal, Italy and Ireland (English, French);
- Volume 3: Austria, Belgium, Greece, Luxembourg, The Netherlands (English);
- Volume 4: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden (English).
