The European Commission, DG IV, will shortly publish a call opening certain parts of its programme for 1999 for studies and consultancy work.

The categories to be opened include:

- Provision of intramural services in the telecommunications sector;
- Provision of intramural services in the sector of digital television and the media;
- Study on digital television;
- Study on the insurance sector;
- Study on market definitions and market power in the publication sectors (both academic and for professional use).
