The European Commission, DG XII, has published an invitation to tender concerning services in connection with the Common Basis of Science, Technology and innovation Indicators (CBSTII). These services are to be provided as accompanying measures to the action on support for the development of science and technology policies in Europe within the Improving Human Research Potential programme of the EU's Fifth RTD Framework Programme,

The specific services concerned are split into two lots:

- Creation and operation of the common databases for science, technology and innovation indicators;
- Collection of science and technology data for 27 non-OECD countries.

Contracts will run for 36 months, from date of signature. Tenderers may tender for one or both lots, but each must be the subject of a separate tender.
