EU-Canada Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement
The Agreement for Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the European Community and Canada, which extends the existing agreement for the period of the Fifth Framework Programme has been concluded and entered into force on 30 April 1999. The full text of the amended agreement has now been published in the Official Journal of the European Communities. In contrast to the Fourth Framework Programme, where Canadian participation was limited, under this new agreement, Canadian researchers may participate in all four thematic programmes, and in the networking activities of the Improving Human Research Potential programme.
