A regulatory model for telecommunications in Africa
The European Commission, DG XIII, has published an open invitation to tender for a study to explore a regulatory model that African countries with low telephone penetration and low GDP can put in place in order to progress towards liberalisation of the telecommunications market and to attract public and private investments. The study should take into account regulatory and technological trends in telecommunications infrastructures, and should focus on an analysis of the existing regulatory framework, as well as investigate demand.
