International Buyers' Exhibitions (IBEX) in Hungary, Poland and Slovakia
Organisations in Hungary, Poland and Slovakia have the opportunity to submit proposals to the Commission concerning International Buyers' Exhibitions (IBEX) in these countries. IBEX are designed to help large companies looking for sub-contractors to undertake specific tasks and small companies looking for new work to meet with a view to developing partnerships. IBEX are generally focused on a specific theme and the organisers pre-arrange meetings between the participants on the basis of the profiles submitted in advance of the event. In view of the extension of the third multiannual programme for SMEs (1997-2000) to Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, the Commission is now seeking proposals for IBEX to take place in these countries between October 2000 and October 2001. The Commission will aim to have a spread of events in terms of sectors, timing and regions. The Community funding available will be up to a maximum of 50% of the total budget, subject to a maximum of 100,000 euro in Hungary and Poland, and 50,000 euro in Slovakia. Proposals need to be made by three organisations - one main organiser from Hungary, Poland or Slovakia, a partner from an EU country and a third from either an EU country or an associated country.
