An invitation to tender relating to a study on genetic-data protection in Europe has recently been published by the European Commission, DG XV. The study should provide an overview of the state of genetic-data protection in Europe and suggest measures which might be required for the protection of individuals and the smooth functioning of the internal market in the European Union.
