Electromagnetic compatibility of road vehicles
The European Commission wants to know how useful its Directive (94/55/EC) relating to the electromagnetic compatibility of road vehicles and electrical/electronic sub-assemblies is. Directorate-General III has therefore published a call for tenders for a study to identify the scope and nature of difficulties in the Directive's application within the wider context of other 'horizontal' EC legislation that also applies to this area. The study will require extensive contact with government authorities and manufacturers and the compilation of appropriate inventories and recommendations for future action, with a view to remedying difficulties and distortions.
