Buccal absorption of phthalates in soft PVC toys
Research efforts that simulate the real-life situation of children sucking or chewing on PVC toys are the subject of an open invitation to tender by the European Commission, DG XXIV. In so doing, the experiment should measure the uptake of certain phthalate esters from the plasticised PVC toys containing phthalate esters.
