Checking the safety of the EU's nuclear installations
The European Commission's Joint Research Centre has announced a restricted call for tenders (meaning that only those with specialised qualifications who pass the pre-selection will be able to apply) for periodic checks on radiation protection measuring systems and alarm installations. These checks are laid down in official accreditation, routine control and small repair works to ensure the proper running of radiation protection measuring systems and alarm installations during normal working hours. This work will be carried out by workers directly assigned to work within the radiation environment (DATR workers) in accordance with the regulation relating to protection from the effects of ionising radiation. For information about the finer details of the safety elements of this call, please refer to the original call text in the Official Journal of the European Communities and the tender documents which are available from the address below.
