New look e-commerce website
The EU's e-commerce website, serviced by the European Commission, DG XIII, has been redesigned to provide a better and more user-friendly service, and more information on electronic commerce. The website provides regularly updated information from the European institutions and international bodies. Interactive communication points have been upgraded, providing discussion lists, feedback opportunities and Dr Ecommerce - an opportunity to communicate with the e-commerce website and others. Browsers can also benefit from innovation support sources. Specific emphasis has now been placed on the legal aspects of the section, providing an overview of all the relevant legal issues - digital signatures, contracting, payments, taxation, applicable law and jurisdiction, consumers, privacy, IPR, Information Society, R&D, convergence and more. There is also a new section aimed specifically at SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises).
