JRC requires mechanical testing equipment
The Joint Research Centre of the European Commission has issued an invitation to tender for the manufacture, installation and maintenance of mechanical testing equipment required for two universal electromagnetic testing machines. These are required to enable tensile and compressive type of tests in the unidirectional and in the push-pull cyclic modes at high temperature. Contractors would also be required to refurbish or retrofit a number of hydraulic and electromechanical (spindle-driven) universal testing machines for high temperature testing. The supply is divided into three lots: the supply of an electromagnetic testing machine; the refurbishment or retrofit of 13 hydraulic and electromagnetic universal testing machines for high temperature testing; and the supply of another electromagnetic testing machine.
