Approximation advice in western NIS
The European Commission is seeking a team of experts to assist the Ministries of Environment in the western Newly Independent States (NIS) of the former Soviet Union and to disseminate the experience of the candidate countries in approximating with the environmental acquis (essentially the whole range of principles, policies, laws, practices and obligations) of the European Union. Basic requirements for experts will include good knowledge of the EU environmental acquis, experience of western NIS, and experience of approximation work in the environment in the candidate countries' environmental problems.
