EUROGI appoints new Secretary-General
The European Umbrella Organisation for Geographic Information (EUROGI) recently appointed a new Secretary-General, Mr Anton Wolfcamp. He replaces Mr Christian Chenez, who has held the position since 1994, on 1 November 1999. Mr Wolfcamp is currently a Regional Director for the Dutch Kadaster. He holds a degree in law and public administration and has previously held positions in personnel and management. Mr Chenez is now working for the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Housing with responsibility for international affairs in the Directorate of Research, Science and Engineering. The EUROGI secretariat will now move from its current offices near Paris to The Netherlands.
