VIPS Press Pack: Supporting innovation with IPR
In a recent project co-financed by the European Commission under the Innovation programme, a consortium of European universities and technology institutes highlighted a number of barriers to innovation that were linked to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). As a result, four pioneering schemes, already in use by individual consortium members, are being extended to other universities in pilot projects designed to improve the use of IPR as a tool for promoting innovation throughout the EU.
