The European Commission's Energy Directorate-General has published a call for tenders for a contract to provide a study on environmental, technical and other aspects of authorisation procedures for trans-European projects in the energy sector.

The study will identify and analyse on a comparative basis the environmental, technical and other requirements affecting applications and authorisation procedures for electricity and gas transmission and storage installations in force in the Member States. It will provide Member States, the Commission and other relevant parities with an overall view of this question as it affects the creation of a more favourable context for the development of trans-European networks in the energy sector.
