The European Commission is calling for proposals for pilot actions for combined transport. Essentially, these proposals should be for innovative actions increasing the competitiveness of combined transport as against exclusively road transport within the framework of the EU programme for Pilot Actions for Combined Transport (PACT).

Projects may consist of innovative operational measures and/or feasibility studies which plan and prepare innovative operational measures.

Pure infrastructure projects or research projects will not be funded under PACT. 'PACT applications must relate to commercial measures relating to the provision of combined transport services', reads the call for proposals.
