Developments to Open Information Interchange (OII) standards and specifications
The European Commission's Open Information Interchange (OII) service provides market actors with an overview of existing and emerging standards and industry specifications designed to facilitate the exchange of information in electronic form. The service provides a monthly report, the latest of which contains information on activity related to the formal approval of W3C recommendations on XSL transformations and XML paths, revised working drafts for the XML schema specification, and the synchronised multimedia integration language document object model, accessibility guidelines for web browser developers, and an overview of version two of MPEG-4. The OII service is intended for standards and specifications developers, product and service providers, and end-users of the products and services.
