A study of new forms of work organisation, based on skill, trust and quality as well as a high level of involvement of workers is required by the European Commission. The study will focus on the obstacles to the introduction of these new methods by analysing the different experiences that companies have had in this field. It will be based on case studies and comprise a large-scale survey and in-depth interviews. The geographical coverage is expected to provide an EU-wide analysis.
