The European Commission's Joint Research Centre has issued an invitation to tender for a service contract for the maintenance of high field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometers.

Services covering the spectrometers, devices and probes are required. These include:

- routine inspection visits (two per year), including: cleaning of filters, checking the performance of ventilation system, power supply system and transmitters, maintenance of operative system, control of 90 degree pulses for Hydrogen and Carbon 13;

- unlimited amount of emergency breakdown service (including all labour, travelling and subsistence expenses). The service must cover the hardware and the software;

- technical interventions must be guaranteed within three working days;

- telephonic technical support for any problem regarding the instrumentation and software.
