Third waste water cluster newsletter now available
Following the success of previous issues, the 'Waste water cluster' (WWC) of projects funded by the Research Directorate-General has now published a third newsletter. In this, the WWC reports on progress made by a number of projects and introduces the advanced monitoring programme of Portuguese surface waters. Within its mandate to foster more coordinated implementation of national and European research programme, the WWC is collaborating with the Portuguese Ministry of Environment in developing a monitoring programme to identify endocrine disrupting compounds in waste waters. The newsletter also explains the latest developments in the concerted action BIOSET. The newsletter includes progress reports on the PRISTINE, INEXsPORT, OWWA, PRENDISENSOR and SANDRINE projects and details forthcoming events focusing on research in waste water.
