Software for the Euratom safeguards office
The European Commission's Euratom safeguards office is calling for tenders to further develop RADAR (remote acquisition of data and review), its automised data acquisition and evaluation system. RADAR is installed in a series of nuclear engineering plants within the European Union and shall be installed in additional plants (some installations comprise between 1 and 20 computers). To date, the system development is based on Windows NT 4.0 services. It has a large number of data acquisition modules developed in accordance with certain technical requirements and also a data-evaluation pack whose structure has already been defined and for which further evaluation algorithms are to be developed and integrated. The contract also involves an extensive and technical review programme, data transmission processes, including coding, documentation, tests concerning programme parts, and maintenance of existing codes and correction of errors. The programme will be developed in close association with Euratom safeguards personnel. Hardware and software will be provided by the Commission.
