Within the framework of the Drinking Water Directive, the European Commission invites tenders for technical and scientific support to the drinking water team in the Environment Directorate-General.

The Contractor will be requested to:

- provide independent, impartial and up-to-date scientific and technical advice in the field of drinking water, particularly on issues linked directly or indirectly to the Drinking Water Directive;

- carry out, wherever necessary, missions upon request from the Commission. Missions will take place in EU Member States and accession countries;

- carry out and participate in technical studies on drinking water;

- produce a final report on the work undertaken during the year.
