ECVAM, the European centre for validation of biomedical testing methods unit at the Joint Research Centre, is calling for tenders for data collection for its database on alternative methods to animal experiments in the field of non-animal neurotoxicity testing of chemicals and/or formulations.

According to Commission requirements, ECVAM has to set up, maintain and further develop a database on alternative methods to animal experiments for scientific literature ad related information sources.

The present call for tenders aims to update the ECV\AM database on advanced and alternative methods by developing a new sector on non-animal neurotoxicity testing of chemicals and/or formulations. The task is to be carried out under supervision of the staff at ECVAM's scientific information service (SIS) and by using an MS access database data-entry module or equivalent.
